On the continuation of Whedon’s interview to EW (here) where he talked about Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., now he talks about downsizing Ultron’s powers and he says that Scarlet Witch’s powers in the movie will be magical and not the control over probabilities.
“I
knew right away what I wanted to do with him,” Whedon says. “He’s always trying
to destroy the Avengers, goddamn it, he’s got a bee in his bonnet. He’s not a
happy guy, which means he’s an interesting guy. He’s got pain. And the way that
manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we’ll take away some of
those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have
someone [a new character, Scarlet Witch] who’s a witch.”
If you
think that it’s a dumb idea to take away some of Ultron’s powers then you are
in for a treat:
-Super
strength, speed, stamina, durability and reflexes;
-Flight
at subsonic speed;
-Concussive
blast shot from his optical sensors and hands;
-“Encephalo-ray”,
which puts people into a deathlike coma or implant subliminal hypnotic commands
or control the minds of his victims;
-Genius
intellect;
-Self-repair;
-Convert
electromagnetic radiation into electrical energy for energy or use;
-Process
information and makes calculations at superhuman speed and accuracy;
-Expert
roboticist and stratagist.
Oh! And
his armor is composed of Adamantium.
So
