This
movie hasn’t even begun and it’s a mess. In a previous post I talked about all
sorts of problems that have been related to the movie, from legal issues, to
directors coming and going and now it seems that the studio behind the project
is having some trouble finding a lead for the movie. There were reports that
actors James McAvoy (X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days O Future Past), Tom
Hiddleston (Thor and The Avengers) and Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) were
going to play Eric Draven, aka The Crow, but now apparently it’s time for actor
Luke Evans (Immortals, The Raven and Clash of the Titans) to be connected to
the project.
Apparently
Evans was previously chosen for the role but was otherwise engaged with other
projects, but now the actor has sign on to play the main character Eric Draven,
the problem is that Relativity Media, is going to delay the start of production
to early next year, because Evans is currently busy promoting Fast &
Furious 6, and he also has other movies schedule for this year, namely Peter
Jackson’s Hobbit sequels, the Desolation of Smaug and There and Back Again,
where he is going to play Bard the Bowman and Evans is also schedule to enter
in Gary Shord’s Dracula: Year Zero, where “Vampire mythology combined with the true history of Prince
Vlad tell the origin of Dracula.”
So
let’s hope that Luke Evans stays with this project and that no more problems fall
on the title.
