The first set of images from 20th Century Fox's upcoming adaptation of the
classic Agatha Christie mystery novel Murder on the Orient Express have been
released.
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, whom can be seen in the pictures playing the
lead protagonist Hercule Poirot, the images also include first looks at Daisy
Ridley as Mary Debenham, Leslie Odom Jr. as Doctor Arbuthnot, Manuel Garcia
Rulfo as Biniamino Marquez, Josh Gad as Hector MacQueen, Johnny Depp as Edward
Ratchett, Olivia Colman as Hildegard Schmidt, Judi Dench as Princess Dragomiroff,
Penélope Cruz as Greta Ohlsson, Michelle Pfeiffer as Caroline Hubbard, and Sergei
Polunin as Count Andrenyi.
From a script by Michael Green ("American Gods"), the film centers
on the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, who must solve a puzzling murder case
while aboard a train and surrounded by many likely suspects.
Opening in theaters on November 10, Murder on the Orient Express also stars
Willem Dafoe, Lucy Boynton, Miranda Raison, Marwan Kenzari, and Derek Jacobi.
