After grossing over
$1.5 billion at the box office worldwide, Universal was quick to pull the trigger
on a yet untitled Jurassic World sequel to be directed by The Impossible (2012)
and A Monster Calls (2016) filmmaker J.A. Bayona.
Today, Bryce Dallas
Howard, who is reprising her role as Claire, shared a behind-the-scenes photo
from the first day of shooting on the yet untitled project, which the studio
has scheduled to open in theaters on June 22, 2018.

In addition to Howard,
Jurassic World 2 also sees the return of Chris Pratt as intrepid velociraptor
trainer Owen, and BD Wong as amoral scientist Dr. Henry Wu.
Joining Howard, Pratt,
and Wong, are Rafe Spall, James Cromwell, Ted Levine, Justice Smith, Toby
Jones, and Daniella Pineda.
