With
the full trailer only arriving this Sunday, Universal Pictures has released a
quick teaser for Alex Kurtzman's The Mummy, the first in a series of
interconnected monster movies that also include Wolf Man, The Invisible Man, Dracula,
Creature From The Black Lagoon and more.
Thought
safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient
princess (Sofia Boutella) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened
in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and
terrors that defy human comprehension.
Opening
in theaters on June 9, 2017, The Mummy also stars Tom Cruise, Annabelle Wallis,
Russell Crowe, Courtney B. Vance, and Jake Johnson.
