Based on Ransom Riggs
best-selling novel of the same name, Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for
Peculiar Children stars Asa Butterfield ("Hugo") as Jake, a
16-year-boy plagued with nightmares following a family tragedy. Told by his
therapist to go on a journey to find an abandoned orphanage where his late
grandfather claimed he once lived, Jake discovers that the place acts as a
magical gateway to an alternate world where children with peculiarities
are taken care of by a magical guardian played by Eva Green, who protects them
from monsters known as hollows.
Opening on September
30th, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children also stars Allison
Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, Chris O'Dowd, Samuel L.
Jackson, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, and Ella Purnell.
