ER alum Eriq La Salle has joined 20th
Century Fox's upcoming The Wolverine sequel in an unspecified role. The actor
will star opposite Hugh Jackman, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Richard E.
Grant, and Patrick Stewart.
To be directed by James Mangold, details
on The Wolverine sequel are being kept under wraps, but it is said to be loosely
based on the Old Man Logan comic book series from Marvel Comics.
The Wolverine 3 will be the
last time Jackman will put on the adamantium claws and shred enemies to pieces.
The Academy Award nominated actor announced last year that he intends to end
his memorable seventeen-year long run playing the iconic character with this Wolverine
sequel.
Written by David James Kelly
from a treatment by Mangold, and produced by
Lauren Shuler Donner and Hutch Parker, Wolverine 3 opens in theaters on March
3, 2017.
