After teasing his casting in Denis Villeneuve's (Prisoners, Sicario) upcoming Blade Runner 2 with an evocative photo this past weekend,
wrestler turned actor Dave Bautista took to Twitter to officially confirm his
place alongside Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, and Robin Wright in the highly
anticipated sequel to the seminal sci-fi
film.
I'm so excited to be able to share this news! Thank you for your support in everything I do. It's humbling. pic.twitter.com/1hlRfdLF6v— Dave Bautista (@DaveBautista) 4 de abril de 2016
Hampton Fancher, who co-adapted Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? novel
for Ridley Scott back in the '80s, co-wrote the new screenplay with Michael Green.
Based on an idea by Fancher and Scott, Blade Runner 2 takes place several
decades after the end of original movie.
Blade Runner 2 is scheduled to start filming this July for a January 12, 2018 release.
