Heroes and House of
Cards actress Tawny Cypress has joined CBS' Supergirl series, where she will
play Miranda Crane, a senator who "finds herself on the other side of the issue
when her visit to National City is interrupted by an alien attack, forcing her
to accept help from an extraterrestrial - Supergirl."
But…
The character, who was
created specifically for the show, is running for President on an anti-alien
platform, so despite the save, things may eventually go sour between the
superhero and the Senator.
