Paramount Pictures has released two new trailers for Michael Bay's upcoming
movie based on Mitchell Zuckoff's non-fiction book, 13 Hours: The Secret
Soldiers of Benghazi.
Judging from the trailers, Bay's latest attempt at directing a drama comes
off as another vapid, simplistic and bubble wrapped take on real life affairs,
not unlike the dreadful Pain & Gain, which he tackled in the same cartoonish
and meaningless way.
But I'm just going by the trailers released so far, and perhaps he left his
Bay-isms in his other pants when he directed the movie. Judge it by yourself.
Opening on January 15, 2016, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi
stars John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, Pablo Schreiber, David
Denman, Toby Stephens, David Costabile, and Alexia Barlier.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi follows the six members of a
security team whom fought to protect the US State Department Special Mission
Compound and a nearby CIA station called the Annex in Benghazi, Libya, from a
terrorist attack.
