Sony Pictures
Television and PlayStation have announced the addition of Battlestar Galactica
star Tricia Helfer, and Lost alum William Mapother to the second season of
Powers.
Helfer is set to play
FBI's Special Agent Lange, "a woman who, just like in the comics, shares a
sordid history with Sharlto’s character, Detective Walker, and walks a fine
line between the Powers world and the government, serving as both an ally and
enemy."
Also known for her
roles in Ascension, and Suits, the actress is currently filming a action
thriller project titled Isolation with Flash's Dominic Purcell and Avatar's
Stephen Lang.
As for Mapother, other
than being cast as Calista's estranged father, no further details were given.
After Lost, Mapother,
who is Tom Cruise's cousin, appeared in numerous high profile shows like
Justified, American Horror Story, The Mentalist, Constantine, and Minority
Report.
The second season of
Powers is currently shooting in Atlanta, with new episodes expected to hit the
PlayStation Network sometime in 2016.
