For while there it seemed like filmmaker
Neil Blomkamp was on the fast track to direct a new Alien film. Concept art was
being revealed, Sigourney Weaver was talking, and then came Ridley Scott and
announced his plans for Alien: Paradise Lost, the sequel to Prometheus.
We knew that Scott's move had pushed
Blomkamp's movie further down the line, but now according to a message sent by
the director, the project has been put on hold…indefinitely it seems.
alien is kinda holding/ pending prometheus 2. So I shall be working on other things... as much as I love the xeno- and Lt ripley

What does this mean for the
director? We will have to wait and see, but personally, I would like for him to
direct someone else's script, since his latest projects, though original, they have
been getting poorer and poorer when it comes to story.
Alien: Paradise Lost is scheduled to hit theaters on May 30, 2017.
