Krysten Ritter plays a damaged, retired, and reluctant superhero in this
first trailer for Marvel's second Netflix series, Jessica Jones. The trailer
itself is somewhat reminiscent of Daredevil, both in tone and in structure. The
tone was expected, but the scene with the blonde woman in the interrogation
room probably being accused of some horrendous act she didn't commit looks like
it was taken from Daredevil, which could be a omen for the similarities between
both show, however, since my crystal ball is low on battery I will stop here.
Launching on November 20,
Jessica Jones also stars Mike Colter, David Tennant, Carrie-Anne Moss, Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, Susie
Abromeit, and Wil Traval.
Ever
since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones
(Krysten Ritter) has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a
hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York
City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles
demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an
unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her
a check.
