A new trailer for Antoine Fuqua's upcoming boxing drama Southpaw has landed
online, and though it continues to give away some of the film's major plot
points, the faster pace and cut cranks up the emotional journey Jake Gyllenhaal's
Billy “The Great” Hope will go through in order to regain not only his champion
belt but also, and more importantly, his daughter.
From a script by Kurt Sutter (Sons of Anarchy), Southpaw also stars Forest
Whitaker, Rachel McAdams, Oona Laurence, Curtis Jackson, Rita Ora, Naomie
Harris, Victor Ortiz, and Clare Foley.
Southpaw premieres on July 24th.
