Screenwriters Lindsey
Beer and Christina Hodson have joined the Akiva Goldsman led Transformers writer's
room for Paramount Pictures. The two writers will alongside fellow writers, Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Art Marcum and
Matt Holloway (Punisher: War Zone), Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff
Pinkner (Lost), Andrew Berrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man),
help expand the franchise with ideas for spinoffs and sequels.
Hodson is a three-time Black List screenwriter, who after penning Unforgettable
for Warner Bros. was hired by the studio to work on a new version of The
Fugitive. Her work also includes Shut In, which just wrapped and stars Naomi
Watts and was directed by BAFTA winner, Farren Blackburn (The Fades), a spec script to Sony titled The Eden Project, and a pilot for
FX, which is currently being developed.
Beer has several project currently being developed, including Dig for
Disney, Short Circuit for The Weinstein Company, a re-imagined version of The
Wizard of Oz for Warner Bros., and an R-rated comedy titled How To Nail An
Alien. Beer is the daughter of Sundance co-founder Gary Beer, and has a
background in neuroscience, and the "intersection of technology and
society".
