Universal Pictures has released the first couple of trailers for Baltasar
Kormákur's (2 Guns) upcoming survival drama, Everest. Based on a true
story, the film follows two groups of climbers, who in 1996 try to reach the peak of
Mount Everest. But when one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered hits the
intrepid climbers, what once was a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking
struggle for survival.
Everest stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes and Jake
Gyllenhaal. They are joined by Martin Henderson, Emily Watson, Michael
Kelly and Thomas M. Wright.
Everest opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on September 18th.
Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the
