Legendary Pictures
has released a first look at the Warchief, Orgrim Doomhammer played by Robert
Kazinsky (Pacific Rim) in Duncan Jones (Moon) upcoming fantasy epic film based
on the World of Warcraft video game.
"We were looking
for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness
of this character," said Jones of Kazinsky.
"We’ve
gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies," Jones
says. "We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters
entirely."
Scheduled to open on June 10, 2016, Warcraft also
stars Ben Foster (Medivh),
Travis Fimmel (Anduin Lothar), Paula Patton (Garona), Toby Kebbell (Durotan),
Dominic Cooper (King Llane Wrynn), Daniel Wu (Gul'dan), Clancy Brown (Blackhand),
Ruth Negga (Lady Taria), and Callum Keith Rennie (Moroes).
