Unlike his father before him, Rusty
Griswold (Ed Helms) seems to have better luck on his family vacation, as simply
and legally strolls into America's "favorite family fun park", Walley
World with his wife Debbie (Christina Applegate), and sons Kevin (Steele
Stebbins), and James (Skyler).
In the 1938 film, the Griswold's

and Audrey (Dana Barron) to break into Walley World after finding out it would be closed for two weeks.
Marking John Francis Daley,
and Jonathan Goldstein's directorial debut, Vacation follows Rusty, who like
his dad before him, decides to spice things up with his wife Debbie, and
reconnect with his sons James and Kevin by going on a road trip that has you
expect goes horribly wrong, and yet…
Opening on July 31st, Vacation
also stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Leslie Mann, Chris Hemsworth, Charlie
Day, Michael Peña, Nick Kroll, Regina Hall, Samm Levine, Keegan-Michael Key,
and Kaitlin Olson.
The next generation of
Griswolds is at it again. New Line Cinema’s “Vacation,” starring Ed Helms (“The
Hangover” films) and Christina Applegate (the “Anchorman” films), takes the
family on the road for another ill-fated adventure. The film marks Jonathan
Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s directorial debut.
Following in his father’s
footsteps and hoping for some much-needed family bonding, a grown-up Rusty
Griswold (Helms) surprises his wife, Debbie (Applegate), and their two sons
with a cross-country trip back to America’s “favorite family fun park,” Walley
World.
