Today at CinemaCon,
Sony Pictures confirmed that a sequel to last year's action thriller The
Equalizer is on the way.
The Equalizer starred
Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, a retired black ops operative that puts his
skills to good use and goes after the Russian mob after they savagely beat a
prostitute that he cared for.
The film was directed
by Antoine Fuqua, and also starred Martin Csokas, Chloe Moretz, Haley Bennett,
David Harbour, Bill Pullman, and Melissa Leo.
