Stan Lee and his POW! Entertainment are alongside
Carnival Films (Downton Abbey) collaborating to bring Lucky Man to the small
screen. Based on an original idea from POW!, the 10-hourlong UK drama series will
star James Nesbitt (The Missing) as Harry Clayton, a down on his luck cop from Central London's Murder Squad, whose his wife (Eve Best) and child have left him due to his
gambling habit. His boss thinks he’s in cahoots with the devil and an infamous crime
boss is threatening his life over a huge debt. However, a chance meeting with a
mysterious woman who gives him an ancient bracelet changes everything… Harry
has gained control over luck itself, but at what cost?
Sienna
Guillory (Luther), Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited), Darren Boyd (Fortitude),
Omid Djalili (Moonfleet), Jing Lusi (Holby City) and Kenneth Tsang (Die Another
Day) compose the rest of the cast.
Sky1 commissioned the
project and NBCUniversal will handle the series global distribution.
