Just a few hours ago a supposedly
"leaked" Batman v Superman photo seemed to indicate that Zack
Snyder's sequel to Man of Steel was going to be split into two movies. Is the
photo real? Can't say, although it would be strange that they would hold to
such an important information and not divulge it since the first part "titled" Enter the
Knight is supposedly coming out in October of this year.
Badass Digest claims to have seen
one iteration of the script and they say that the story is streamlined, and
doesn't have enough meat on the bone to be split into two movies, but they add that if Warner
Bros. is thinking about splitting the film then perhaps a way to cut them would
be in the fight between Superman and Batman, which roughly midway through the
film. However, it seems that the battle isn't all that big and since the first
half of the film is light on action it wouldn't make much sense, unlike the second half which is rumored to
have a big set piece involving Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Doomsday fighting in Metropolis and Gotham.
Finally, it looks like Ray
Fisher, who plays Cyborg only has scenes with Batman.
"I'm pretty sure Cyborg is
only in this movie as a cameo, and that's at the very, very end as Batman
assembles the Justice League. If they were cutting this movie in two it seems
likely that Fisher's part would have been beefed up at least a little bit."
If this hadn't become almost
common practice I would say Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice wasn't going to
be split into two movies, but since it has…
What do you make of all this?
