Spoilers: Captain America 3 Names; What Comes Next; Whedon Future And More

On the heels of the announcement that Robert Downey Jr. is in talks to star opposite Chris Evans in Captain America 3, and that the film would kick off Marvel's Civil War storyline, Badass Digest now comes forward with a few scoops regarding the titles for Cap 3 and much, much more.

First they claim that they heard both Civil War and Fallen Son as possible titles for the third entry in the Captain America franchise, and that they like the movie itself should heavily reflect the fallout of the events played out in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

A previous rumor claimed that Avengers 3 was going to get split into two, but now BD says that Marvel is looking at Captain America 3 as prequel of sorts to Avengers 3, as it will be another ensemble film that may or may not feature the new Avengers team that Cap will put together at the end of Age of Ultron. The scene has not been shot yet so things might change, but the team should be composed of Falcon, War Machine, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Cap and Black Widow, who won't have a big presence in Cap 3.

"At the end of Cap 3 the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in a tough, dark place, with the heroes scattered and defeated. That will continue through Avengers 3, and it will leave the world open to the threat of Thanos in either Avengers 4 or the big universe-wide team-up movie, whichever comes first."

They also say that Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) are in talks to pick up Joss Whedon's Avengers mantle and helm Avengers 3 and maybe 4.

They go on and add that at the end of Age of Ultron, Iron Man retires, as he feels responsible for all the destruction his creation has caused. They speculate that this is the reason why Tony decides to push for the registration act as he feels that super-powered beings or people with extraordinary skills need to be kept under some kind of control, especially now that S.H.I.E.L.D. has collapsed. Of course this doesn't go well with Cap, who opposes to such measures.

As always take with a grain of salt, but these are huge, World shifting news for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What do you think?
