Actor Michael B. Jordan has been teasing about the costumes he and
fellow Fantastic Four members will be wearing in the upcoming reboot by
director Josh Trank. The last time he revealed that they aren't cheesy, but now
the actor offers a bit more details and says that "we are all in containment
suits. It's gritty. It's a gritty film."
Going by the statement given to Good Morning America, I speculate that
they will be used just after the team gets their superpowers as a safe precaution
for others and perhaps themselves.
The
actor also spoke about working in and out of the costume and the tone of the
film.
"The costume process definitely took some time to get in and out of
that thing, especially since I was bulking up. It was a little more snug during
filming. We got through it man. It was a process, but we did it. It was hard
work."I'm really excited about it, everyone is really happy. We worked
hard for three months, put a lot of time into it. The script is very grounded
and relatable to everybody, as much as you can. You really get a chance to grow
with these characters. It's an origin story. You get to discover these
abilities. These disabilities rather and grow with them."
This isn't the first time the film has been described this way as in a
previous interview Miles Teller, who is set to play Reed Richards, aka Mr.
Fantastic also spoke about the tone of the film in the same way.
Fantastic Four stars Michael B. Jordan as Johnny
Storm/Human Torch, Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Jamie Bell as
Ben Grimm/Thing, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Toby Kebbel as Dr.
Doom, Tim Blake Nelson as Harvey Elder/Mole Man and Reg E. Cathey as Dr. Storm.
