The Flash's executive producers, Andrew Kreisberg and
Greg Berlanti, and show stars Jesse L. Martin (Detective West), and Candice
Patton (Iris West) were recently at the PaleyFest for a panel about the Arrow
spin-off. During the presentation, Berlanti and Kreisberg were asked if because
the West family is African-American that means that Wally West (Kid Flash) isn't
going to appear in the show.
"We made [the] Wests
African-American so that we could head in that direction." said Berlanti. Kreisberg
then added that "when DC reintroduced Wally [in the New 52], he was
African-American."

moments are being pushed up in the season.
