Actor and
frequent Joss Whedon collaborator, Fran Kranz (Much Ado About Nothing, Cabin in
the Woods) recently tweeted and subsequently deleted a couple of characters names
followed by SHIELD and Soon. Luckily, the guys over at OhNoTheyDidnt managed to
screengrab the tweet.
We know
that Adrianne Palicki is set to play Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird in a few weeks, but who is Robbie
Baldwin?
Robbie
Baldwin is a regular kid who after a freak science accident where he's bombarded
with extra-dimensional energy, gains the ability to
generate a kinetic energy field that protects him from any impact and turns him into
a bouncing dynamo of kinetic energy, thus becoming Speedball.
After
failing to join the Avengers, Speedball joins the New Warriors, a superhero
team, which included Namorita, Nova and Firestar. In a weird re-branding plan
the team creates a reality show, which leads to the destruction of a small town
and ultimately to Marvel's Civil War. Speedball survives the accident, ditches
his moniker, and becomes Penance, one of Norman Osborne's Thunderbolts.
Onto a different casting rumor. Season
two's fourth episode is said to star actress Maya Stojan as Agent 33, who in the comics
is responsible for recruiting the demigod Hercules.
