Despite
the Turtles' nostrils, and size, Shredder’s Swiss army knife of an
armor, and Megan Fox (that's what everyone complained about, right?), director Jonathan Liebesman's reboot of the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles surprised everyone by making $65 million
in the North-American market, and $93,7 million worldwide.
Pleased
with the results thus far, Paramount Pictures have announced that a
sequel will be released on June 3, 2016, and while it's unknown if
Liebesman will return, Michael Bay is set to come back as producer,
as are screenwriters, Josh Appelbaum, and André Nemec.
Currently
in theaters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Alan Ritchson as
Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Noel
Fisher as Michelangelo, Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as
Vernon Fenwick, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter and William
Fichtner as Shredder. In addition, Johnny Knoxville will voice
Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub will give voice to Master Splinter.
