According
to THR, Warner Bros. have hired screenwriters Will Beall (Gangster
Squad), and Kurt Johnstad (300) to pen two individual scripts for the
upcoming Aquaman film. Both scripts will be written in seperate, but
only the best will move on to production, and help shape DC's
cinematic universe.
A
week ago Warner Bros. announced nine upcoming DC projects, the
earliest of which in August 5, 2016, just months after Batman v
Superman. The addition of Beall, and Johnstad to the Aquaman project
seems to indicate that the King of Atlantis will be the one to occupy
that slot as it looks like it is the one gaining some traction.
Jason
Momoa has been confirmed/rumored to be playing Arthur Curry, aka
Aquaman in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman, meaning that he will
probably reprise his role for Aquaman's solo outing.
