Though
Marvel's upcoming Daredevil series wasn't showcased in their tv
panels over the weekend, some snippets of information regarding the
Marvel/Netflix show were revealed, thanks to Marvel Chief Creative
Officer, Joe Quesada.
Marvel's
final panel of the convention was dedicated to their 75th
anniversary and the 60th
of Daredevil. Quesada, Mark Waid, and Dan Slott were there to do the
honors, and although they didn't reveal any specifics from the
upcoming Daredevil show, they did reveal that the show will premiere
in May of next year, which coincidentally (not!) is also the same
month Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters.
The
13-episode series stars Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Elden
Henson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Peter Shinkoda, and Deborah Ann Woll, and
is showrunned by Spartacus creator Steven S. DeKnight.
"Marvel’s
Daredevil" follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded
as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting
against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero
Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.
