Fans hopes were crushed just a
few hours ago when it was announced, that negotiations between Marvel Studios
and director Adam McKay for the director to helm Ant-Man had broke down. Now
the director has released a comment on Twitter stating that he has committed
himself to other projects, so his not sure it can work.
And yes, met w/Marvel. Kirby & Lee r my Lennon Mccartney so it was awesome. But have other projects I'm committed to. Not sure it can work.

McKay was one of several director
reported to be in the mix to replace Edgar Wright, who had been working on the
movie since 2006 and resigned just short of start of production.
The other directors in the list
are Rawson Thurber who directed We're the Miller's, and was prior to McKay rumored to be on the top of the
list, Ruben Fleisher who helmed Zombieland, Louis
D'Esposito who directed Item 47 and Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, and
Guardians of the Galaxy James Gunn, who seems the least likely of the group,
but at this point any think can happen.
