Welcome for yet another Box Office Weekend, and lets
jump right in, to this weekend's countdown.
The King of Monsters, Godzilla takes a tumble from
last weekend's table, from seventh to tenth. Director Jon Favreau' indie, Chef,
improves and jumps from tenth to ninth place. The X-Men movie everyone wanted
to see, also takes a dive, from seventh to eighth. Maleficent, Edge of
Tomorrow, and The Fault in our Stars continue to stick together and drop two
spots to fifth, sixth, and seventh, respectively. In number four we have Clint
Eastwood's latest film, Jersey Boys, which shockingly didn't perform as well as
I thought it would in it's opening weekend, but it's still early in the game.
Now for the top three!
In third are Hiccup, and Toothless in yet another
adventure, in Dean DeBlois' sequel, How to Train Your Dragon 2.
In second is Phil Lord, and Chris Miller's R-Rated
comedy, 22 Jump Street, starring Jonah Hill, and Channing Tatum.
And in first it's Tim Story's sequel to the 2012 rom-com;
Think Like a Man Too, starring Kevin
Hart, Adam Brody, Michael Ealy, Dennis Haysbert, Taraji P. Henson, and Gabriel
Union.
