After teasing Time Runs Out at Diamond's
Retailer Summit in Las Vegas last week, Marvel has now officially unveiled some
details and covers art for Jonathan Hickman's Avengers/New Avengers crossover.
"After the cataclysmic
events of the Avengers tie-in to Original Sin and
the revelation as to what the Illuminati has been up to all this time, we jump
the storyline ahead to the moment where time runs out for everybody," revealed Marvel's Senior VP Tom Brevoort.
Time Runs Out will be the climax of Hickman's run on both titles, which have been leading "the day of the Final Incursion." Brevoort
explained that "we’ll
also be providing a glimpse into the immediate future of our characters and
what changes await them over the course of the next eight months of publishing.
This isn’t some maybe-future; this is the real deal, what’s awaiting the Marvel
Universe in the coming year."
Artist Jim Cheung signs the cover art for Avengers
#35, and Gabriele Dell'Otto signs for New Avengers #24.
