While many fans of the TMNT have classified the new
movie as another Michael Bay produced CGI extravaganza and critiqued the new
turtles design, one man comes in defense of the project. In a recent, interview
to CBR, one of the co-creators of the TMNT says that this new movie will make
fans "incredibly happy".
"It's
been a four, almost five-year journey to bring the next "Turtles"
movie to life since the time we pitched it. I know everybody is like, "Oh,
Michael Bay, Michael Bay, Michael Bay, he's gonna ruin it! He's gonna destroy
it!" But everyone I have encountered has been nothing more than incredibly
sincere to try and bring the Turtles back in a way that's new, fresh and
exciting, but with total respect to everything that's come before. I've read
the script. I have a cameo in the movie. It's awesome -- really fun. What they've
done with the film is going to make fans incredibly happy, including myself.
The vision is awesome, the effects are incredible and the story will be
something everybody can relate to and like. I'll leave it out there for the
fans to let us know what they like in the end, but I'm very proud to be part of
it. A lot of people are going to be surprised."
