Talking to Empire, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was questioned about everything and anything, from the Twins' roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron and how will they affect future movies. Feige also spoke about the actor who will be playing Thanos, why Ant-Man isn't in the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Paul Bettany as Vision.
So, Feige was first asked about Quicksilver and
Scarlet Witch and how she might be the one to introduce Marvel's mystical side
and open the door for others characters like Doctor Strange.
"I
would say that the Age of Miracles, as Strucker says at the end of that tag,
could be a part of that, but the key to their origin is in that tag."

But what will be the brothers role in the movie?
"They're
not very happy with The Avengers. Their powers are not insignificant and
they're quite different from what the Avengers have faced before."
The conversation then went to another member of the
movie, Vision played by Paul Bettany.
"Paul Bettany as The
Vision? You're confusing me with your mind games."
Joked Feige, who was then "pressed" by the
magazine for details regarding the character and if the theme for Avengers 2
would be one of fathers and sons, since J.A.R.V.I.S. is given his own body.
"I
wouldn't go that far, in terms of it being that direct a theme. Certainly
humanity and humanity's place in our world plays a large part of it, but I
think Thor's about fathers and sons, more than this. If one were to confirm
anything about Paul Bettany and look at the arc and the line of what Paul has
done for us, that's pretty unique and cool and exciting and spins right out of
stories we've told in the past."
Feige was then asked if the villain everyone is dying to
see had already been cast?
"There
is an actor. I'm not sure we want to announce it yet."
Empire then asked Feige about all this talk about the
battle between Captain America 3 and Batman vs. Superman, and the fact that
Marvel's reluctance in moving the film's release date shows confidence, in not
only the franchise but everyone involved in it.
"Well,
I'm glad people think that way. We had the flag there first. What other people
do and where has always been less of our concern. It's about keeping our head
down and doing what we would believe would be cool for an audience to see. I
wouldn't say that necessarily."
Feige then addressed the odd one in the MCU, Guardians
of the Galaxy, which will be Marvel's first first film since 2011.

The interview then shifted to Edgar Wright's Ant-Man,
which has been in the making even before Iron Man quickstarted the whole MCU
back in 2008. So, the obvious questions was if the movie had changed to reflect
everything that has happen in the MCU.
"A little bit. Not
much. There's been a little bit of connective tissue that wouldn't have been
there in his draft ten years ago," he revealed. "We
changed, frankly some of the MCU to accommodate this version of Ant-Man.
Knowing what we wanted to do with Edgar and with Ant-Man, going years and years
back, helped to dictate what we did with the roster for Avengers the first
time. It was a bit of both in terms of his idea for the Ant-Man story
influencing the birth of the MCU in the early films leading up to Avengers."
Most people (including myself) were expecting to see
Ant-Man in Avengers: Age of Ultron, since he is the official creator of the
villain, so it was strange to hear that Ultron's origins story had been
completely redone and that Ant-Man wouldn't be appearing in Avengers 2. This is
what Feige had to say:

He might be speaking off Tony Stark, who is also a brilliant
scientist and inventor, but is he the original? Is Hank Pym, played the Michael
Douglas the original Tony Stark?
"He's certainly older.
Original Tony Stark? In that he is an inventor and a scientist, but he has a
very different demeanour that Tony and a very different ego, even when he was
younger."
Finally the Feige was asked about casting Paul Rudd to
play the new Ant-Man.
"Look
at that origin of the petty crook who comes into contact with a suit and does
his best to make good, and then look at someone like Paul Rudd, who can do
slightly unsavoury things like break into people's houses and still be charming
and who you root for and whose redemption you will find satisfaction in."
Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1st, 2014.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May
1st, 2015.
Ant-Man opens on July 17, 2015.
