Yesterday news came out
that the once cut from the movie Rogue (Anna Paquin), would actually still be
appearing in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, even if in a brief cameo.
Now Vulture have uncovered the details of her cut scene and also reveals that
we can expect to see more of the original cast return.
"While Wolverine is gallivanting
around in the past with the X-Men: First Class cast, though, Kitty Pryde is
injured, and her future hold on Wolverine becomes tenuous. In order to preserve
the time travel bond, then, the X-Men must find Rogue, who has the ability to
absorb any mutant power. Unfortunately, Rogue is being held prisoner at Xavier
Mansion, which has been transformed into a Sentinel-guarded military base, and
the mission to find and rescue her — an expensive, lengthy sequence that
involves Professor X, Magneto, and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) — was sliced from the
film in postproduction after Fox executives worried it would pad the running
time to over two and a half hours. Rogue is still brought in briefly to absorb
Kitty's power and tend to Wolverine, but the machinations to get her there will
now happen offscreen."
The site then adds that
three more mutants from the original trilogy will also return but say that "to even hint at their
identities would reveal a major spoiler." Now, there aren't many choices when
it comes to add more of the original cast. We have Kelsey Grammar, who played
Beast in X-Men: Last Stand and that was rumored to be in the film. There is
Famke Janssen, aka Jean Grey, who died (apparently), James Marsden, aka
Cyclops, who is also dead, but you never know and finally we have Aaron
Stanford, aka Pyro, Ben Foster, aka Angel and Tyler Mane, aka Sabertooth. What do you think?
