There are currently two
adaptations of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book being made, one at Disney and
the other at Warner Bros. but the Disney’s version should be the first to hit
theaters, as it already has a director (Jon Favreau), a release date (October 9th,
2015) and now one of its stars.
According to Deadline Idris Elba
has signed on to voice the Shere Khan the villain tiger (CGI).
On the other hand Warner’s
version recently suffered a setback when director Alejandro González Iñárritu
dropped out, but it was recently mentioned that Ron Howard may take the helm,
but so far no confirmation has been made.
