When director Zack Snyder first announced Batman vs. Superman at last year’s SDCC with a passage from Franck Miller’s famous comic book series The Dark Knight Returns fans went berserk, but after all the commotion ended many begun questioning how much influence will the cult comic series will have on the movie.
In a interview to French magazine
Popcorn, Snyder said that the comic will serve has a building block to the
film.
"The comic book will
influence the history of Batman vs. Superman, on which the writer David S.
Goyer and myself will work."
Snyder elaborated saying that Ben
Affleck’s version of an older and seasoned Batman will serve as a good opposition
to the Henry Cavill’s newbie Superman.
"Ben brings an interesting
counterweight to the performance of Henry in the role of Superman. He has the experience
necessary to paint the picture of an older and more advised man than Clark
Kent, who bears the scars of a seasoned vigilante while retaining the charm
that Bruce Wayne deploys when present in the world."
Batman vs. Superman will star Henry
Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse
Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence
Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
