This year’s The Wolverine by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman was well received at the box-office, grossing $413 million worldwide, mainly because it went against what other superhero movies were and are doing, it went small. Instead of saving the World, the Wolverine rescued a girl and retrieved his powers.
According
to Deadline, director James Mongold is currently in talks with 20th
Century Fox to return for a Wolverine sequel. At this point there aren’t any
plot details or cast news, but it would be strange not to see Jackman back into
the role he helped made popular.
