According
to the Wrap, Jake Gyllenhaal is in negotiation to star in Kurt Sutter (Sons of
Anarchy) and Antoine Fuqua’s (Training) boxing drama, Southpaw.
As
the title implies, Southpaw is a story about a left-handed boxer who after winning
a Title, suffers various personal tragedies, all while trying to win back the
love of his daughter.
The
film has been in limbo for quite some years after first being dropped by
Dreamworks and then by Eminem, who was supposed to play the southpaw boxer, but
if the negotiations with Gyllenhaal go through then he sould be hearing more
news sooner rather than later.
