Rumor around town is that Marvel is currently shopping for a content package that will include four drama series and a miniseries, totaling 60 episodes. On their aim are Netflix, Amazon and WGN America with both digital and traditional companies interested in the big M.
So
far few details are known as procedures are still in the early stages. It’s
unknown if it’s a new provider trying to established itself with Marvel content
or if it is an established network trying to include the Marvel brand in their
scheduled, whatever the case this proves that not only Marvel but also material
based on comic books is here to stay, whether it be adapted content or original
one.
Marvel’s
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. just got picked up for a full season by ABC and there have
been rumors about a possible Marvel’s Agent Carter, starring Hayley Atwell
series. At this point it unknown if Agent Carter is a deal at ABC or if it will
be including in any if any future deals with other content providers.
