In
recent years actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s (JGL) career hit a new high, thanks
to box-office hits like The Dark Knight Rises, Looper, Lincoln, Inception and
now, rumor has him as one of two running for the next big hit in Marvel’s
cinematic universe, Ant-Man.
Director
Edgar Wright just returned to Los Angeles to start working on the project, and
according to some “insiders”, actors Paul Rudd and JGL are having meetings with
not only Wright but also people at Marvel.
While
promoting his directorial debut, Don Jon to a French division of the HuffPost,
the actor talked about the rumors and despite confirming them he says that so
far he only had discussions and if anything was to be announced he would be the
one to do it.
“There
is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only
discussions. I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my
career.’m Usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something
happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors. “
Ant-Man
will be Marvel’s first Phase 3 feature film based on one of their characters.
