A couple of months ago actor Sacha Baron Cohen dropped out of the Freddie Mercury biopic due to creative differences. Today news comes, that the producers and investors of the film are interested in actor Daniel Radcliff for the role.
A source
at TDS, claims that:
"Daniel
has been told the part is his if he wants it. Despite his youth, Daniel
impressed movie bosses with his portrayal of gay poet Allen Ginsburg in this
year’s movie Kill Your Darlings. Plus, he’s closer in height to Freddie than
Sacha, who’s much taller. Daniel can really sing, too."
Radcliff’s
departure from his most iconic work to date, Harry Potter, has been filled with
interesting, good and different types of projects, like The Woman in Black,
Horns, Kill Your Darlings or A Young Doctor’s Notebook.
The writer
of The Queen and Frost/Nixon, Peter Morgan is currently writing the script, which
will focus on the lead up to the 1985 iconic performance of Queen at the Live
Aid concert.
Director
David Fincher and Tom Hooper were at some point up to direct, but have since
departure to other projects.
What
do think, Cohen or Radcliff?
