Luther
is probably one of the best crime dramas currently out there, and because of
that many are expecting either a new series (4th) or the famous movie that many
are talking about, even Luther (Idris Elba) himself mentioned in the past that
he would like to do a Luther movie.
Yesterday
at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Luther creator Neil Cross, said that he has
written a prequel script, that include some of the favorite characters from the
first season.
Spoiler
Alert:
According
to the Daily Mail, the movie will have Luther of course, Luther’s still wife
Zoe (Indira Varma), his colleagues Ian Reed (Steven Mackintosh) and Justin
Ripley (Warren Brown) and no Alice L
Cross
then added that the final scene of the movie will match with the first scene of
the first episode of season one.
Regarding
the future of the fan-favorite Alice, Cross says that there might be a spin-off
series with her.
“‘The
BBC is very interested in the project,’ Cross told Variety magazine last year.
‘The truth is I absolutely adore Alice! We’re kind of thinking very loosely of
a mix between The Talented Mr Ripley and The Last Seduction.’”
