News from the Future Past front, apparently actor Adan
Canto is going to play the mutant Roberto da Costa, aka Sunspot in Bryan Singer’s
X-Men: Days of Future Past, which also stars Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas
Hoult as Beast, Ellen Page as Shadowcat, Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, Anna
Paquin as Rogue, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine,
Halle Berry as Storm, James McAvoy as Professor X, Evan Peters as Quicksilver,
Ian McKellen as an older Magneto, Patrick Stewart as an older Professor X,
Shawn Ashmore as Iceman, Booboo Stewart as Warpath, Daniel Cudmore as Colossus,
Bingbing Fan as Blink, Omar Sy as Bishop (rumored) and Josh Helman.
The news of Adan Canto playing Sunspot, was less of a
news and more of a mistake, because the actor replied to a tweet congratulating
him on getting the Sunspot role:
“Thanks! Next Summer!”
Of course the tweet was immediately deleted, but not
before Blastr spotted it.
X-Men: Days of Future Past Synopsis:
“The storyline alternates between present day, in which the X-Men fight Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline
caused by the X-Men's failure to prevent the Brotherhood from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly. In this future universe, Sentinels rule the United States, and mutants live in internment camps.
The present-day X-Men are forewarned of the possible future by a future version
of their teammate Kitty Pryde, whose mind traveled back in time and
possessed her younger self to warn the X-Men. She succeeds in her mission and
returns to the future, but despite her success, the future timeline still
