Joss Whedon Says Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch Are Key To The Avengers 2

Ever since both Whedon and Singer announced that each of their films (The Avengers 2 and X-Men: Days Of Future Past) would have the Quicksilver character in it, speculation regarding how the same character would fit into two different films.

Despite the announced made by Singer that his return to the X-Men franchise would also have Quicksilver, Whedon doesn’t back down and says that his Quicksilver will be essential to the story.

“It’s a huge part of the movie,” said Whedon, when asked about how Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would fit into his story. "I’m really excited about it and I don’t know what they’re doing [on X-Men].”

“I’m determinedly not knowing,” he continued. “They’ll do their thing, I have to do mine.”
