Josh
Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jason Clarke are currently in talks to
star in Baltasar Kormakur’s Everest, which is based on the 1996 expedition that
killed eight climbers and was reported in John Krakaeur’s Into Thin Air. The adaptation will “be sourced from various books
and interviews with survivors.”
Other
news regarding the film, actor Christian Bale was reported to play the lead but
apparently dropped out.
