Rhys Ifans To Star in CBS’ Sherlock Holmes Series Elementary

Let’s begin by saying that Rhys Ifans will not be joining Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman in Sherlock, he will be joining Jonny Lee Miller (Sherlock) and Lucy Liu (Dr. Joan Watson) in CBS’ second season of Elementary.

Ifans will be playing Sherlock’s brother Mycroft who after a falling out with Sherlock in London, offers him and Dr. Watson a stay in his home, 221B Baker Street.

Robert Doherty, the producer of Elementary says;

"I could not be more excited to have Rhys coming aboard," "I've always been a tremendous fan and feel very honored to have him in the fold. Equally excited are Jonny and Lucy, both of whom have worked with Rhys in feature films. I think this is going to be a lot of fun for all of us."
