Lionsgate studio has pushed the release date
of I, Frankenstein from the 13 of September of 2013 to 24 of January of 2014.
According to an official press release “The film’s franchise potential, given
its large scale premise, setting and creative elements are perfectly aligned
with the 3D experience and the studio wants to put forth the best version of the
film possible to audiences,”
The story takes place in a Gothic city,
ravaged by a supernatural war.
The movie is directed by Stuart Beattie
(Tomorrow, When the War Began) and stared by Aaron Eckhart as Adam aka
Frankenstein’s monster, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski as Terra, Jai Courtney,
Miranda Otto and Aden Young as Dr. Frankenstein.
Let’s hope this turns out to be another Van
Helsing.
Summit
Entertainment has hired Barbara Marshall from Terra Nova, to adapt Exorcism
Diaries, based on the book The Real Story Behind the Exorcist: A Study of the
Haunted Boy and Other True-Life Horror Legends from Around the Nation’s Capital
(jebus that’s a long title).
Kick-Ass 2 just got a new trailer.
Although Beauty and the Beast isn’t living to
expectations within the US market, there is a possibility that they will be
given a second series, because it has a strong online performance on HULU.
Universal is going to do a new origin story
for Dracula in Dracula Year Zero. Luke Evans (Immortals, Clash of the Titans
and The Raven) will play the main character, Dracula, the most famous
bloodsucker in history. The movie will mix vampire mythology with the true
history of Vlad the Impaler (which is bad has it is). They are going to depict
Dracula as a flawed hero living a tragic love story, which is set in a dark age
of magic and war. Directing this project is the newcomer Gary Shore.
Man
of Steel, directed by Zack Snyder and starred by Henry Cavill (Clark
Kent/Superman), Russell Crow (Jor-El), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Christopher
Meloni (Colonel Ardy), Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry
White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Ayelet Zurer
(Lara Lor-Van), Antje Traue (Faora) and Richard Schiff (Dr. Emil Hamilton) just
got a new TV spot.
