Sense8 the new sci-fi show, created by the team of brothers Lana and Andy Wachowski (The Matrix and Cloud Atlas) and JM Straczynski, the creator of Babylon 5, has found a home in the internet television network of Netflix. According to deadline, Netflix has order ten episodes of the series to debut them in late 2014 on Netflix Instant. Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer on Netflix says that both Lana, Andy and Joe are among the most imaginative writers and gifted visual storytellers of our time. The Wachowski brothers told in an interview that they always wanted to work with Joe: “We’ve wanted to work with Joe Straczynski for years, chiefly due to the fact his name is harder to pronounce than ours, but also because we share a love of genre and all things nerdy,” and that “Several years ago, we had a late-night conversation about the ways technology simultaneously unites and divides us, and out of that paradox Sense8 was born.”. Sense8 is described as a “a gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted”.
On the 19th of April, Netflix is going to premiere a new supernatural horror show called Hemlock Grove. Created by Eli Roth from Hostel and starring Famke Janssen from X-Men, X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand and Dougray Scott from Mission Impossible II.

Netflix, like Machinima are betting heavily on creating exclusive original content for the web. Maybe it is the start of a media revolution, where creators and artists are beginning to shift from the more rigid format that is Tv to a more flexible one on the web. Has i said above Netflix has these two new shows and Machinima already started to work with Director Ridley Scott and RSA (Ridley Scott and Associates) to develop sci-fi shorts that hopefully should turn into feature length and possibly a franchise.
