A few days ago some of us "regular people" were given the chance to sit at a theater for a special test screening of one of this summer most antecipated movies, Pacific Rim directed by the brilliant Guillermo del Toro and starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Clifton Collins Jr., Robert Maillet, Rinko Kikuchi, Heather Doerksen and Brad William Henke. The movie is due to arrive at theaters on the 12th of July of this summer.
Those that went to this special test screening were not movie critics, as Guillermo del Toro wanted to hear what the average audience interest about his movie was. The mexican director was present during the test screening and in the end met with the audience to hear what they had to say and to encourage them to talk amoung their friends about the movie and their experience at the screening.

I just saw the nearly-finished "Pacific Rim." I know I'm prone to hyperbolic statements... but believe me... "Pacific Rim" is STUNNING. The extended "Battle of Hong Kong" sequence is the greatest sustained sci-fi action sequence in cinema history. "Pacific Rim" is the most satisfying summer movie IN DECADES. It delivers EVERYTHING... and I mean EVERYTHING you could possibly want to see.
