Paramount has unveiled the
first clip from the upcoming loose live-action adaptation of Masamune Shirow's iconic sci-fi manga series Ghost in the
Shell.
Directed by Rupert Sanders
("Snow White and the Huntsman"), the film stars Scarlett Johansson as
the Major, a one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force
Section 9 in their efforts to stop the most dangerous cyber criminals and
extremist.
Ghost in the Shell also stars
Pilou Asbæk, Takeshi Kitano, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Tawanda Manyimo,
Chin Han, Yutaka Izumihara, Michael Pitt, Chris Obi, Rila Fukushima, Juliette Binoche, Michael
Wincott, Peter Ferdinando, Kaori Momoi, Jordan Rivers, Joseph Naufahu, Xavier
Horan, and Adwoa Aboah.

Based
on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, Ghost In The Shell follows
the Major (Scarlett Johansson), a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg
hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most
dangerous criminals and extremist, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose
singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotics' advancements in cyber technology.
